Vet Costs for Lucky (aka Champ), a rescue puppy with seizures.

HELP NEEDED ASAP
I have an update on Champ :( Today he has 5 seizures and is at the animal referral center. We were there with him for about 2 hours tonight. The seizures he has had today averaged anywhere from 5-9 minutes long. We are very very worried about him. The vet there said to us she is very concerned it is not epile...psy any longer, b/c the phenobarbital isn't controlling the seizures and it is very uncommon for a puppy of his age to be going through this. His stay there overnight tonight is costing $650 and could be up to $3000.00 I am looking at the invoice right now. We really need to raise this money and this time it isn't for a surgery "he might need". The money we need is to have a MRI done to see if he has a brain tumor or a parasite that has made it into his brain and caused severe damage!

We want to send a thank you out to all who came to our benefit event for Champ this weekend at the Y-Go-Bye !! We had a great turn out and a bunch of fun raising much needed money! Thank you to everyone who also contributed to the vet costs for Champ! We are so happy to have such great supporters.

UPDATE 8-27-2010

Thank you to everyone who has contributed! We got good news today from the vet! Luckys last test came back and his liver panel was within normal range! What this means is that right now he doesn't need the surgery! I want to let everyone know that we greatly appreciate the donations but you do have the choice to get a refund on your donation. I did change the amount I want to raise to an unset amount due to the fact that we don't have an exact target on the funds needed. We are going to have to try a few different meds and actually have him on a special diet like... Evo ... California Natural... ect. We all know we are a donation ran non-profit organization and with that being said would still like to raise money to go towards the vet bills we currently have and the vet bills to come along with meds and funding for food. This is great news for Champ! The benefit tomorrow will still be help for Champ in support of continuous care that I described above so please still come to support him.
